Hello, I’m Rachel

If you’ve found your way here, you might be thinking about starting therapy with me. Choosing someone you can connect with really matters, so I’d like to share a little about who I am and how I work. My hope is that you get a sense of whether this space might feel right for you.

How I Came to This Work

I began my career as a holistic therapist and, over eighteen years, my practice has grown and evolved. For the last six years I’ve worked psychotherapeutically as a relational integrative therapist, supporting people as they navigate the stories, relationships and patterns that shape their lives.

Alongside my professional experience, my own life has shown me how complex and beautiful people can be. I’ve become deeply curious about the ways we relate to one another, how we’re shaped by our connections, and how vital supportive relationships are to our happiness and sense of purpose.

The Power Of Our Stories

Over time I’ve developed a particular interest in the stories we tell ourselves. These narratives guide how we behave, how we interpret the world and who we believe we’re allowed to be. Sometimes they help us, and sometimes they quietly hold us back.

In our work together, I enjoy gently unpicking these stories with you. We explore what has shaped them, how they serve you and how they might be rewritten in ways that feel truer, kinder and more expansive.

What I Bring To Therapy

In our sessions you’ll find openness, curiosity and a space where your experience matters. My understanding of the therapeutic process isn’t just theoretical; I’ve been a client too, and I’ve felt the ripple effects therapy can have in real life. That personal insight sits alongside my training and professional practice.

I also offer organisational and leadership development support to help workplaces build cultures in which people can truly thrive. That work stems from a belief that wellbeing doesn’t begin and end with the individual. We shape our environments, and they shape us too.

Who I Am Outside the Therapy Room

Away from the work, I’m a fairly straight-talking Northerner who believes life is lighter with a bit of humour. I’m a mother, partner and friend, and those relationships mean the world to me.

Being outdoors grounds me, so you’ll often find me walking in the hills or spending time on the river. Sharing those moments with others brings me a lot of joy.

I’m also a lover of good food and I have an enthusiastic curiosity about the world, which sometimes results in me getting lost in conversations about fungi or quantum physics. I can’t pretend I fully grasp the latter, but I enjoy wondering about it all the same.

Living Authentically

More than anything, I value authenticity. I do my best to live in alignment with what I believe, even when it asks something of me. It’s a work in progress, and it’s one I feel privileged to support others with too.
