Courses & Groups

I run a number of group / course events developed for a range of different people.  Take a look at the event listings below to find out if there is something that will suit you.

group of people talking, smiling and walking in Yorkshire countrysideStart: 12th November 11am

Location: Railway Inn, 8 Calverley Bridge, Leeds, LS13 1NF (you can find parking at Calverley Bridge and on Calverley Lane)

Route info: We’ll do a circular riverside and woodland walk taking in part of the historical tithe boundary between Calverley, Horsforth and Yeadon, ending back at the pub. Those who would like to stay on for a coffee or spot of lunch are welcome to do so. Make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear because although the paths are good it’s a little uneven and likely to be very muddy. There are some hills!

Book Here: Join Rachel Surtees as she takes you on a monthly walk in Yorkshire Tickets, Fri 12 Nov 2021 at 11:00 | Eventbrite

Join me as I take you on a monthly walk and talk around various locations in Yorkshire.

The walks have a health and social focus with a bit of business growth and support thrown into the mix. They are a great opportunity to get your muddy boots on, get yourself a dose of nature and much needed vitamin D, and get to know other local business professionals whilst having lots of fun.

The walks all last approximately 75-90 minutes and we will endeavour where possible to finish our wander close to a place where people can stop and have lunch should they wish to continue their networking. The walks are all paced for people with a moderate fitness level so no extreme terrain will be encountered.

Well behaved dogs are always a welcome addition to the walks but we can’t guarantee that any food serving venues close by will be dog friendly (you’ll need to check this out for yourself if you wish to stay on for lunch).

We will be keeping an eye on the guidelines and will limit numbers for this walk if necessary.

The path of self-development can be a lonely one at times.  You can start to make what you think are going to be positive changes in your life, only to find that some of the people who mean the most in the world to you are not quite ready to join you on the journey yet.  Sometimes they need a little time to adjust to the changes you are making, but that can leave you feeling very alone in the meantime.

You want to weave yourself into a healthy web of connection but at various points on your self-development journey this may feel like a very challenging task.

This is where web weaving walks come in.  The walks aim to bring people together who are on similar journeys of self-discovery and self-development but finding it challenging along the way.  The walks are an opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences and to get to know each other so that you can, if you choose, stay in contact and go on to share your journeys together after the day has ended.

The focus of the walks is connection; connecting with each other and connecting with nature.  They are an opportunity to take some time away from everyday life to re-set and replenish.  So, get your muddy boots on and join us to get yourself a dose of nature whilst meeting some fab people and having lots of fun.

The timings are either half day (10am-2pm) or full day (10am-6pm) and include a stop for lunch (either picnic or pub/café depending on the time of year and weather conditions, see the details for each walk).

Each walk will be graded easy or moderate so that you can gauge whether it’s right for you.  The pace on the day will be steady and there will be plenty of time to enjoy sit spots to take in the views.

Next Walk

18th September 2021 – 10am-2pm – Ilkley Moor

This is a moderate walk with a few short but steep uphill sections.  The ground can be very uneven in places and the terrain may be very muddy depending on the weather so come dressed appropriately.
