People, seem to have an innate desire to leave an indelible mark on the world.
From cave paintings to gravestones, modern graffiti, to iron age carvings, or even ancient folktales; whatever it might be, we seem to want to leave something behind when we depart this world. We want to know that we have made an impact, and that we won’t be forgotten.
Many people do this unconsciously, living their lives simply according to the principle that they want to be thought of and remembered as a good person, or a caring individual, or someone who created something, but without having a clear idea of what story might be told about them, or what evidence will be left behind of their deeds.
Others, they want to be more conscious of what they are crafting.
If you are curious about the impact you are having, and what mark you might leave behind, join me for this two-day exploration:
On day one, we will take a deep dive into the Yorkshire landscape, to explore who we are in relation to the land, to discover the marks that others have left behind, and to come alongside these to work out who we are, and what kind of marks we might like to make which will stand the test of time. We will also consider what this might mean for us when we live in a world where we are encouraged to tread lightly, to reduce our footprint and to leave no trace.
We will head indoors for day two. The first part of the day, will be an extensive group reflection on what we discovered about ourselves and each other on day one. The afternoon will be spent exploring the idea of consciously crafting our own personal indelible mark through the medium of story.
Places are limited to six for this course, to create a safe holding space for deep exploration.
Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
****** Please note – before booking:
The whole of day one will be spent walking and reflecting in a moorland landscape. We will be covering a distance of between 7 and 9 miles, over terrain which can be rough and very muddy underfoot, and be quite challenging in terms of steepness and low level scrambling in parts.
To take part in this workshop, you will need to have a reasonable level of fitness, and be equipped with appropriate clothing and footwear to be spending a full day in the outdoors, no matter what the weather might throw at us.
The indoor venue location for day two will be confirmed closer to the workshop date.

Begin to grow, from the ground up. Learn to find solidity in your roots and take nourishment from the environment.
Over the last 18 years, I have supported countless people to create long lasting, positive change in their lives and my experience shows that there are some foundational building blocks which are required to support any journey of healing, growth and change. I have created the Take Root programme to share with you what is, in my mind, the most important element in holding the whole process together.
This is often the piece in the puzzle which people most struggle to get to grips with and yet it plays a central role in supporting you to put down strong roots, stay steady in yourself and to draw in nourishment from your environment as you go along your personal path of transformation.
What is this important skill? The ability to easily bring your nervous system back into a state of regulation in order to support you to stay feeling steady when you are facing challenges or change.
For so many people, learning this skill is really difficult and it takes new knowledge, time and practice to master.
The Take Root programme is designed to give you the education and resources you need to integrate nervous system self-care & first aid practices into your daily life, in order to help you grow your resiliency and thrive in whatever you choose to undertake.
This eight-week intensive programme costs only £195, but as a special incentive to sign up soon I’m offering a limited time 20% discount. Just use code GETMEROOTED24 at the checkout before October 24 to claim your discount.
