About Me

  • Walk with your thoughts and discover where they can take you.

Hello, I’m Rachel

If you’ve found yourself here, you may be thinking about beginning therapy with me. Choosing a therapist is an important step. It matters that you feel you can connect, that you have a sense of how someone works and whether you might feel safe enough in their space.

So I’d like to share a little more about who I am, both professionally and personally, to help you get a feel for whether this might be the right place for you.

Who I Am As A Therapist

I originally trained as a holistic therapist and over the past nineteen years my practice has continued to grow and evolve. For the last seven years I have worked psychotherapeutically as a relational integrative therapist.

Through both my professional work and my own lived experience, I have developed a deep curiosity about people and the ways we relate to one another. Supportive, meaningful relationships sit at the heart of wellbeing and fulfilment. They shape how we see ourselves and how we move through the world.

I am particularly interested in the stories we carry. The narratives that help us make sense of our experiences, our relationships and our identities. Sometimes these stories support us. At other times they quietly limit what we believe is possible.

In therapy, we gently explore these stories together. With care and curiosity, we can begin to understand where they came from, how they have served you, and whether they might be ready to shift.

What I Bring To Our Work

In our sessions you will find openness, steadiness and a genuine interest in your experience.

I bring my professional training and experience, but I also bring my belief in therapy as something deeply human and transformative. That belief does not come only from theory. I have been in therapy myself and I understand the courage it takes to sit in that chair. I have experienced first hand the quiet and powerful changes that can unfold through the process.

Alongside my clinical work, I am passionate about supporting organisations and leaders to create cultures where people can thrive. My organisational and leadership development work reflects a belief that wellbeing is not only individual. We shape our environments, and they shape us in return.

Who I Am Beyond The Therapy Room

I am a fairly straight talking Northerner who appreciates gentle humour and honesty. I am a mother, a partner and a friend, and these relationships are central to my life.

I feel most grounded when I am outdoors. Walking in the hills, spending time by the river, being connected to the natural world. Sharing these moments with the people I care about brings me great joy.

I am also a curious person. I can happily disappear down a rabbit hole learning about fungi or reading about quantum physics, even if I do not claim to fully understand it all.

Living authentically is something I value deeply. I try, as much as I can, to walk my talk.

So now you know a little more about me. If something here resonates and you would like to take the next step, I would be very glad to hear from you.
